Daniel Radcliffe Returns to Magic in ‘Now You See Me 2’ Trailer

It took only five years, but Daniel Radcliffe has returned to his magical ways… sort of. Lionsgate has dropped a new trailer for Jon M. Chu’s “Now You See Me 2,” a sequel to Louis Leterrier’s 2013 surprise hit, “Now You See Me.”

Since the sequel was announced, and the first teaser released, many people have been asking why make a “Now You See Me” sequel? Well, the answer is simple: it was a box office success. Though the first movie didn’t receive universal critical acclaim, it did gross $351.7 million worldwide against a $75 million production budget. That’s good enough to warrant a sequel.

While most of the cast were able to return for the sequel, Isla Fisher could not reprise her role as Henly Reeves due to her pregnancy. But fret not, Lizzy Caplan was cast as Lula to replace Fisher as the Fourth Horseman. And judging by this new trailer, she seems to be handling her own.

One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, The Four Horsemen resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate.

The man behind their vanishing act is none other than Walter Mabry, a tech prodigy who threatens the Horsemen into pulling off their most impossible heist yet. Their only hope is to perform one last unprecedented stunt to clear their names and reveal the mastermind behind it all.

“Now You See Me 2” releases on June 10.
