Nintendo NX Console Officially Confirmed, Releases in March 2017

Nintendo has officially confirmed that their new platform, Nintendo NX, will release in March 2017 worldwide.

After months and months of speculation and rumors, Nintendo finally confirmed, via their financial results, that they are making a new video game platform called the Nintendo NX. Though, it seems like Nintendo is still referring to the console as being “code-named NX,” thus hinting at a new, permanent name coming later.

Nintendo previously announced that it would release more information about its next system, code-named NX, this year. As the first announcement of any NX information, Nintendo confirmed that NX is scheduled to launch in March 2017. NX will not make an appearance at the upcoming E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles in June and will be unveiled later this year.

It’s unfortunate Nintendo will not be showing off the new Nintendo NX at E3 this year, in order to focus on the Wii U, 3DS, and Zelda. Note that if you’re not planning on ever purchasing the new Nintendo NX, don’t worry, Zelda is still releasing on the Wii U.
