What’s going to happen to Rick Grimes’ hand? Here’s the answer

In Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead, “Thank You”, Rick Grimes cut his hand with a blade that had walker blood on it. Since the character lost his hand in the comics, people, including myself, thought this was it — this is when he loses that hand in the show. Well, that’s not exactly the case.

“It’s entirely possible,” showrunner Scott M. Gimple told TVLine about people getting infected by walker blood, “but we haven’t really gotten into it on the show.

“I’m going to go out on a limb here and say something definitive: Rick is OK regarding that cut. His hand will survive. There will be a bandage. There will be some ointment involved. But he’s going to walk away from it.”

Well, at least we have an answer for one of the two things. The other one obviously being: is Glenn alive? In regards to that scene, Gimple remained quiet, but did say, “It was shot the way it was shot and it was edited the way it was edited and that is always deliberate. I spend a lot of time on these cuts, so take that as you will.”

Hmm… interesting. So there is something to evidence of Glenn surviving that walker assault.
