Nereus Meme Competition — BYOM & Win WXT!

Calling all creative Nereus fans!

As we approach the final stretch of days, not weeks, until we launch the Nereus protocol, we want our Nereus Legion to get creative and pull together what they think Nereus represents in a brand new meme competition.

It’s pretty simple; all you have to do is BYOM (Bring Your Own Meme), post it on Twitter for our the Nereus team to see, and you could win a HUGE amount of WXT.

How to Participate

• Create a meme & incorporate Nereus logo
• Follow our Twitter @nereusfinance, and share it there with #NereusMeme, tagging @nereusfinance
• Join our Discord and share your meme in #meme-gallery
• On 4th Feb, the Nereus team will shortlist the top 15 finalists
• From 4th Feb — 9th Feb, the Discord Community will vote for their 5 favourites
• We’ll announce the winners on the 11th Feb

The Rules

WHEN 👉

Anyone will be able to participate until the 31st Jan

TOPIC 👉

Your meme must be related to Nereus and WXT, so get familiar with the project (Nereus whitepaper and Medium) and our community (join our Discord)!

INSPO 👉

MYTHOLOGY // SEA // CHANGE // Nereus is a god of the Old World and was known to be truthful and honest. Living in the depths of the sea, Nereus had the gift of prophecy, and the ability to change his shape. This is a great metaphor for our view of the DeFi and Web 3.0 future before us.

FORMAT 👉

Whether it’s a static meme, a funny GIF, promo video, an infographic, a drawing, a tiktok, a cake, a song — there is no ceiling! You can create basically anything that could be considered a meme

Scoring

The Nereus team will pick the top 15 finalists based on

• Relevancy: How witty the content is, does it make sense and resonate with the Nereus community?
• Funny: I mean, it’s a meme after all
• Theme: Bonus points for incorporating our inspo themes: anything about mythology, sea, change, DeFi and the web 3.0 space
• Overall aesthetic and vibe

Judging

This is the selection process by which the winners of the competition will be determined. It is divided into 2 stages

1. The Nereus admin team will review and put forward their favourite 15 based on the scoring categories above.

2. We will host a Crown The Meme event on 4th Feb on our Discord. The Top 15 will be re-posted and the community will have 5 votes each to vote for the top 5, so make sure you sign-up to get involved and have your say. The 5 memes with the most votes will be crowned the winners!**
