Nervos Network — Community Update #9 March 2019
Hi! Sherry put up a Nervos bi-weekly report (in Chinese) as we have more community activities. You can contribute to our community update going forward on github :)
Here are the latest updates at Nervos:
Highlights
- We released cryptoeconomic design of the Nervos Common Knowledge Base: our native token CKB is designed to represent the right to occupy the state storage over time. Check out this twitter thread for a quick summary, the RFC and Kevin’s video walkthrough for a deep dive.
Discussions around Nervos CKB Token-economics
- “Highly recommend this work for everybody as an example of new type of “economic thinking” in our space, which is still heavily dominated by “IT mentality” by Svet
- “Probably the most interesting economic model for public chain” by LostEraser
- Since we released the tokeneconomic RFC, over 70 topics were created and more than 700 replies under the cryptoeconomics section. Join on-going discussion on Nervos forum:
- “What if I can offer better rate than Nervos DAO and rent space for profit?” by recoba8814
- Is Nervos token economic model an upgrade of Bitcoin’s token-economic model? by toby19881005 (in Chinese)

Development
- We released Nervos CKB v0.7.0, for more details make sure to check Ian Yang’s bi-weekly Nervos CKB Development Update.
- We updated our development roadmap and expect to launch testnet in Q2 and mainnet in Q4, the dates are pushed back from our previous roadmap as research took more time than we expected.
- Nervos RFCs contain proposals, standards, and documentation. We appreciate any kind of input — you can email us at ckb-dev@nervos.org, reach out to us on Github, CKB Dev telegram or the Nervos Forum.
