Nervos Positioning Paper

Nervos is developing the only PoW, multi-asset & store of value blockchain in the world today, creating the foundation for the decentralised economy by learning and iterating on what has come before.
We believe the ecosystem requires a secure and stable infrastructure in order to make lasting and sustainable gains, and today we are excited to release our Positioning Paper that outlines an overview — and our solution — to the greatest challenges facing future blockchain development, and making decentralization a reality.
Transparency and openness with our community is an integral value of the Nervos Network. In our Positioning Paper, we share our long term goals, decision processes, trade-offs we have made and why we made them, concluding in how we arrived at our current design.
As with previous core Nervos documentation, we utilize an RFC (request for comment) process which allows feedback from developers and our community. In RFC 0001: The Nervos Positioning Paper, you will see a detailed examination of the problems that public permissionless blockchains face today, and the current solutions attempting to solve them. This will provide context and the rationale behind our design decisions, how we have approached these challenges, and a high-level walkthrough of all parts of the Nervos Network — with a focus on how these parts work together to support our overall vision.
