After weeks of branding, conceptualization and research to create the best user friendly product to help enter the tech world, we can finally show you Indago, a platform with the most exquisite curated content from the Nest Collective team. ⚡️
Indago was created due to the lack of communication between the tech market 💻 and those who want to get started in the industry. Our job was to find a solution for this problem. We wanted to create something friendly but at the same time reliable. So we planned how to manage the information we wanted to deliver.
Indago was born out of four core principles: accessibility, credibility, community and orientation. Our goal was to deliver content in a simple, accessible way and that would guide users to start gaining skills.
We’ll talk about how we got to our friendly and curious name and logo in a separate blog post. So let’s get to know more about our product and what makes it different from other platforms!
Indago is (for now) a free web platform with the small age of two and something months. It is an excellent tool to get to know more about specific tech skills and to discover new ones. We have three areas of knowledge that users can explore and get to know better: UI/UX Design, Ruby on Rails (Frontend) and Android!
These areas offer different skills that we call modules and they are divided by difficulty levels. We decided to create these levels so that the “newbies” users don’t feel super lost and not know where to start. We also decided that, if you’re an expert user, there’s no need for you to start at level one! Go ahead! Jump to level two if you feel like you’re good enough! 💪
Inside all these modules we have the core of the whole application: the materials 💾. We offer articles, exercises, videos and content that help the user to acquire a new skill. We also offer the opportunity for the user to choose the state of the materials. This means that the user is the one in control of their progress ✅. We also have the favorite functionality which allows the user to save their favorite materials! ⭐️
Indago is the physical proof that the Nest Collective is willing to offer content and information to the whole community in a free way. Just like we did on our internship, we hope that by using our platform, the users learn and understand that the tech world is only a click away!
