Hi there!

As a Nest Collective follower, you’ve probably seen that some companies here were promoting a bunch of Summer Internships. Not much time elapsed since we though about creating our own separate Summer Internships to the day when we had our ‘ah-ha’ moment: let’s put all these awesome candidates together to make a bigger and cooler thing.

And that’s what we did. By analyzing each candidate’s skills, we, as a collective, thought that we could all benefit if all interns would work together in a bigger team to deliver a product in the end of the Summer.

So basically we identified each companies’ needs for interns, created a team out of amazing candidates that would fill those needs, and in the end, I’m very proud to disclose Nest Collective’s Dream Team for this Summer:

  • André Macedo, Developer.
  • Francisco Magalhães, Developer.
  • Maria Margarida, Designer.
  • Nuno Bastos, Designer.
  • Pedro Belém, Developer.
  • Rafaela Ferro, Designer.

The first week of Nest’s Summer Internship was filled with quick introductions to technologies, process management, design thinking and other useful talks by people currently working at Nest.

In the next week, starting with a very tough Monday morning (after 🇵🇹 being crowned the champion of Europe and with a giant sleep deprivation), we started the Design Sprint of Nest’s Summer Internship. 🎊

For this Design Sprint, we based ourselves in Google Venture’s Design Sprint and sparkled some IDEO’s Design Thinking process on top. And we reached the end of the week with a great idea that everybody is loving.

For now, we can’t disclose anything about that idea but we’ll leave you cool photos from our interns, our mentors and the process so far.

POST ITS. POST ITS EVERYWHERE.
The almighty one.
Everyone loves maps n’ stuff.

Hope you like it! Next time, Interns themselves will be here sharing their thoughts on Medium.
