The Lockbox was a blockchain sharing economy experiment, where we crowdfunded and shared a virtual reality arcade. We created a sharing economy that replaced middlemen with IoT & ethereum smart contracts.
☀️ The Next Chapter
The Lockbox was a tool for building the NestEgg platform. Individuals signing up from our startup campus helped stress test our dashboard and we could iterate with the feedback we got back. Building sharing economies requires fine-tuning which is best done with real-world interaction versus theoretical whiteboards.
We couldn’t have done this without our enthusiasts on campus giving us honest feedback and helping us work through irritating bugs and glitches. Their patience and support helped us tremendously.
Yet NestEgg’s ambition is not to share VR arcades. We are now focusing our full attention to sharing energy and mobility by crowdfunding solar panels, windmills, and vehicles.
With prudent enthusiasm, we take our next step and close down the Lockbox experiment so we can focus our full attention on the real deal.
We’re here to launch a movement of individuals becoming stakeholders in their community and reduce their cost of living through doing so. We’re aiming for infrastructure that supports your basic needs: starting first with energy and transportation. Being able to build a portfolio of energy and rides around town has a more tangible impact on your life. It starts by achieving economy of scale by sharing this infrastructure with others.
