This movie discusses about the labelling of race and even groups, classes, communication, and discrimination.
Just accept that there is not only one good lifestyle
We used to think we are right, we only stick with the same kind of people like us. We have a sort of rules that restrict who you should behave in our social group.
But actually we are all different.
Why can’t we just accept there are other ways also good and your own style is not the only good one?
Just be humble and respect, living with people who are different with you.
Difference of every single individuals
This movie is far more than racial discrimination.
The identity lost and loneliness of the role is due to the blinkered mind of people. Rejected people different from themselves.
He is not black enough, not white enough, and not masculine enough, to be included in any social groups.
So who is he actually?
He can just betray himself, try to eat some fried chicken, just forget his sexuality. But he should be who he is.
Why can’t he be who he is?
Because our society is not open- minded enough to respect the difference of every single individuals.
If the Green Book is no longer needed one day
We used to stick a label on some other else, defining which class someone to belong. Yet, when we are empowered, with authority, or under the social norm, sometime, we just forget that human are meant to be equal.
I hope Green Book is no longer needed one day.
