So, you think you need a service mesh? We have a better way and we want you to try for yourself with our new Quickstart for connecting microservices, including discovery and automated routing. It takes advantage of the open source RSocket networking protocol.
Our approach is much simpler and delivers greater performance. Launching Istio requires 19,000 lines of YAML versus just 400 for ours. And, we don’t require any custom resources, which is a sizeable chunk of those first bits of Istio’s LOC.
With our Quickstart for Kubernetes, you launch the Netifi broker, change 3 lines of configuration and decide where you want to connect. From there, the Netifi broker takes over the work of the mesh taking advantage of Kubernetes service discovery.
In no time (well, 30 minutes or so), you’ll be ready to do local and/or remote development without having to install any sidecars. Amazing right? Our meshless approach is very friendly to developers and much simpler for operations people, too. No infrastructure sprawl.
If you have any questions, comments or feedback, please visit the special section on our Community Forum for Kubernetes users.
When you’re ready to take the next step, Netifi Enterprise provides security, observability, dynamic traffic routing for enterprise deployments across multiple Kubernetes clusters — no gateways required like for Istio. Our motto is start simple, stay simple.
Give us a try, we promise you won’t be disappointed.
