17th Tunnel Boring Machine lowered for Metro-III Tunnel Work

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation stated that the 17th Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) is being lowered for the 54 km long Metro-III tunnel work from Colaba to Seepz.

With this, all the 17 Tunnel Boring Machines will be working on the digging process in full fledged for the Metro-III work, the first boring machine arrived in Mumbai, last year in the month of September. From now, all the 17 boring machines will carry out the digging process for the Metro-III project.

The 17th Tunnel boring machine Tansa 2 is being lowered near the Science Museum, Worli, Mumbai. The ambitious underground project completely relies on the digging work, if everything goes as per the plan, the Metro work can be completed in the estimated period.

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) Managing Director Ashwini Bhide tweeted and shared the information about the 17th boring tunnel being lowered.
