PM Modi behaves like Ambani’s Watchman: Rahul Gandhi
Congress President Rahul Gandhi accused PM Narendra of corruption in the deal and stated that PM Narendra Modi is behaving like Anil Ambani’s (Chowkidaar) Watchman.
As per the reports of a French media, a senior official of Rafale who stated that it was the Indian government who made it mandatory for the French government to include Reliance deal.
Rahul Gandhi pointed out at the statement made earlier by the Ex-President of French who revealed that Indian government had suggested Dassault Aviation appoint Reliance as an offest partner in the deal.
He alleged that the similar statement of the senior official of the Rafale about Indian government’s suggestion of Reliance in the offset deal, confirms that the government has violated the laws and given undue advantage to Anil Ambani owned- Reliance Aviation Company.
Rahul Gandhi asserted that the offset deal was given to Reliance only to help the company to get rid of debts. He even called PM a corrupt man.
Questioning the timing of Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s visit to France, Gandhi claimed it was part of a “huge cover-up” by the government.
“Why has suddenly Defence Minister rushed to France to Rafale’s plant? What is the emergency?” Rahul Gandhi questioned.
Dassault Aviation has cleared that the French government has no role in the offset deal while talking about this Rahul Gandhi said that “Dassault is sitting on a huge contract. Dassault will say what the Indian government wants it to say. Their internal document clearly stated that PM has said without this compensation the deal will not be done”
