Thane Rural Police Arrested Seven Illegal Immigrants
The Thane rural police claimed to have arrested seven Bangladeshi on 15th August 2018, who was living illegally in the country.
The seven arrested people were staying in Bhayander area of the Thane district. As the Police said, they had no valid documents for entering the country. Offences under the Passport Act were registered against the people arrested. The case has been filed at Mira Road police station.
The owner of the house where they the illegal migrants living was also arrested for allegedly giving shelter to illegal migrants.
“The owner did not inform the local police about tenants, which is mandatory. The arrested illegal immigrants did jobs such as a driver or domestic help in the city.” said police official.
In a recent past, in the month of March, four illegal immigrant women were caught. These immigrants were caught for illegally staying in Hanuman Tekdi area of Bhiwandi without any valid documents.
