Netooze® Cloud Computing — The Back Story

Netooze® was founded in 2021 after Dean Jones resigned from his position as Director of Strategic Projects at Cranfield University, a British postgraduate public research university specializing in science, engineering, design, technology, and management to support his parents abroad during COVID-19.

Growth in demand for low-cost IT infrastructure and faster data accessibility

Dean saw that the coronavirus outbreak stretched many in IT to the limit of their abilities to find ways to accommodate the surge in remote workers. Dean also recognized having led the Palace of Westminster House of Commons and House of Lords Security Program that the dramatic and rapid shift in the speed at which organizations of all sizes enabled remote work and the suspension of commercial activities heighten cybersecurity risks. Created business operational difficulties, increased demand for low-cost IT infrastructure, and faster data accessibility which encouraged the use of cloud computing services and propelled the growth of the global Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) market.

“Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) is a cloud computing service in which businesses rent servers in the cloud for compute and storage. These web services provide high-level APIs that may be used to dereference various low-level features of network infrastructure, such as physical computer resources, data partitioning, scaling, location, security, backup, and so on. IaaS allows users to run any operating system or application on leased servers without having to pay for the operation and upkeep of servers.”

(IaaS) market growth to $90.9 billion in 2021

This resulted in (IaaS) market growth to $90.9 billion in 2021, up from $64.3 billion in 2020, according to Gartner, Inc. Furthermore from various research papers and studies, Dean also understood that the global infrastructure as a service (iaas) market is projected to reach $481.8 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 25.3% from 2021 to 2030 due to the elasticity and scalability of the solution, which is ideally suited for IT-enabled services, the public cloud segment will significantly increase its share of the infrastructure as a service (IaaS) market throughout the projection period.

“The market for infrastructure as a service is divided into several regions, industry verticals, enterprise sizes, deployment modes, and component types. It is broken down into storage, network, computation, and other components. It is separated into private, public, and hybrid deployment models. Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and large businesses are separated based on the size of the firm. Banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), government & education, healthcare, telecommunication & IT, retail, manufacturing, media & entertainment, and others are the different industrial verticals. The market is examined in terms of its impact on North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and LAMEA.”

The current state of diversity among directors of UK tech companies

Additionally, Dean recognized that the current state of diversity among directors of UK tech companies is unbalanced with data-based findings and anecdotal reports of unrepresentative directorship. Furthermore, that marginalized groups — namely women and minorities — are still severely underrepresented in tech. Dean also understood the importance of visible role models at all levels is crucial and that to create an inclusive technology workforce, companies don’t need to just attract great talent, they need to make sure great people can grow to become great leaders.

With the above in mind, Dean decided to launch an IaaS cloud platform offering new generation virtual machines for developers, IT teams, system admins, and startups with a bold set of diversity representation and inclusion goals and a comprehensive approach to achieving them.

General Ambassador of the first hyper-converged platform in the world, vStack

Netooze® hyperscaler is a cloud infrastructure based on vStack and VMware virtualization environments. Because VMware requires significant resources for infrastructure maintenance. vStack virtualization platform in addition to VMware was a match made in heaven because it saved on the software and hardware and simplified infrastructure management through a hyper-converged approach and faster online scaling and recovery. This also makes Netooze® a General Ambassador of the first hyper-converged platform in the world, vStack.

“In computing, hyperscale is the ability of an architecture to scale appropriately as increased demand is added to the system. Wikipedia”

Netooze® also offers a high-performance Windows Server with Remote Desktop and full Admin access which allows companies to examine priorities and shift resources with agility to help keep their employees connected from new locations and devices, allowing for business continuity essential to productivity. Netooze® Windows RDP servers work on an innovative hyper-converged vStack platform based on leading Open-Source technologies. Lightweight bhyve hypervisor and OS FreeBSD with the simplified codebase.

Since the Netooze® platform’s launch, its capabilities have substantially increased. Unlimited network heterogeneity is supported, as well as a high level of economic efficiency in regard to vCPU resources and other features.

“Due to the rise in demand for consistent performance, on-demand Application Programming Interfaces (API), and security for physically isolated networks, the compute segment has the biggest market share for infrastructure as a service. However, the others segment is anticipated to experience the fastest growth over the course of the forecast period due to the growing need to manage data throughout its lifecycle, from conception and storage to appropriate archiving. This increased need for managed IaaS services, and consequently the infrastructure as a service industry, is what is driving this growth.”

Digital business transformation has entered a more challenging and urgency-driven phase due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Netooze® aims to provide the tools organizations of all shapes and sizes need to make cloud computing simpler so that businesses and developers may devote more time to producing software that transforms the world. Our aim is to become one of the number one choices for both corporate clients and individual clients in the whole of Europe, the United States, and beyond.

Netooze® provides an 86.6% reduction in Deployment of the Cloud Servers

The average time to spin up new virtual servers running Linux and Windows is around 40 seconds. Netooze® enables you to interact with cloud servers practically immediately after submitting a deployment request. Once you have ordered a service, Netooze automatically selects a new server with an appropriate configuration from the pool of servers. As soon as a user places an order the server is almost ready to go. The user just needs to wait for its setup to be completed.

“One of our strategic focuses was to optimize the speed of creating cloud servers. We have reduced the creation time by a factor of 7.5, but it is not the end of the line,” says Dean Jones, CEO of netooze®. Cutting down the average index to 40 seconds is a record-breaking result: before optimization, the creation speed of Windows servers was 300 seconds, as for Linux servers — 60 seconds. However, the new technology has additional potential and Netooze® will continue to ensure its platform is further developed in order to improve the quality of service offered to our customers through a strategic partnership with ITGLOBAL.

Netooze® company Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) goals

Netooze® diversity and inclusion goals are as follows:

(1) The number of women in technical roles to be 50%” (of all roles).

(2) Ensure a minimum of 50% of all new positions — (internal and external) — will be filled with Black and Latino talent.

(3) No job-hiring process will end unless a minority candidate is interviewed.

Dean said, “One of our aims is to identify and grow the talent pool from which senior leaders are drawn. However, once a company hits a certain number of employees, some argue that it’s hard to make meaningful change, but there’s some hope to be had with startups. If you start from day one, there’s a good chance you can do it right. Because working in technology should not be about privilege, Netooze®’s goal is to help diversify the workforce of the technology sector by ensuring its own workforce is representative of the communities we serve from inception.”

Tech leadership is highly international. 18% of tech directors are of non-British nationality, compared to 13% in all other sectors, and 13.8% in the UK population as a whole.

Dean said, “Netooze® aims to work across advocacy, talent development, and business development and its business focus is not only about delivering great customer service, it’s also about our ‘team behind the scenes’: those who both work and support our digital platform.

As CEO of Netooze Ltd, Dean Jones brings over 20 years of experience in technical, management, and leadership roles ushering brands into new eras of innovation and global growth.
