Fall finally hit Boston! Sweaters and puffy jackets are quickly making their appearance. Despite the drop in temperature, my team at Netra and I are not ready to let go of the warmer months. Summer wasn’t that far away, was it?

To pay tribute to a great summer, we decided to take a trip down memory lane. We collected, tagged, and analyzed one million consumer generated images that were posted on social media between June 1 and August 31, 2017. Leveraging our Image Recognition software we, within seconds, extracted beach scenes that not only brought us back to warmer days, but offered key insights into consumers’ favorite days of summer. With automated context and brand tagging, we quickly discovered which brands got the most beach days this year— lucky them!
