Positive attitude is important when communicating. It has a huge impact when it comes to networking as well. After reading Ramavelu Murugesan’s blog post, “Positive Attitude Goes Hand in Hand with Listening and Communication,” I realized most people think speaking is more important than listening and showing positive attitude. When communicating with people, it is important to give positive attitude and the proper body language. Nodding, smiling, and not interrupting are great ways to provide positive attitude.

Body language is important when talking to people. Keeping eye contact is important during communication. When the person is talking, it is important that you keep eye contact because it indicates that you are focused and paying attention to them. Eye contact shows confidence, respect, and social communication. Facial expressions and reactions are also important because you can tell how people feel without actually voicing what they are feeling or saying.

I feel like positive attitude has a huge impact when it comes to networking and developing this soft skill is a huge part in the professional world.
