The Internet is not the whole world

I am always living in the Internet world. I’m easy to misunderstand that information on the internet is all.

In this summer vacation, I cycled around Miura Peninsula, which I often went in my younger days for fishing. One of the reason I choose here is that I found a vacant room of a small inn on the famous internet service. That room must have been canceled by someone, so that was the last room I could found. So if not, I could not go there on the most crowded weekend.

During cycling around, strangely I could found many small local inns called “Minshuku” which could not be found on web service. It was not sure whether they have vacant rooms or not, however before thinking about that, I had almost thought that there’s “no” inns there except which I could f0und on the list I had seen. But it was wrong. Maybe Minshuku owners does not register and contract their Minshuku info on famous web services. So we could not find them on the internet.

It meant that even when I am not able to find vacant rooms on the internet, in reality, small accommodations still exist and they might have some rooms available.
