The power of habit
I wrote an article today, not here, but on TOEIC exam.
Today I took the TOEIC speaking and writing test in the morning. I didn’t prepare anything for the test today. I have tried but could not. So today’s result will show my English scores what I have now.
The test consisted of two parts. The first part was a speaking part for about 20 minutes, and the latter one was a writing part for about one hour.
How did I feel about the result? No way. At one of the biggest question in the speaking part, I failed to listen to the question, and I could not understand what the question said. Then, I had to speak for nothing for one minute. Furthermore, I often noticed myself use wrong tense often and repeatedly spoke about the same thing. I often did the same thing in the regular meeting, and that was my weak point.
On the contrary, comparatively, I could feel I have not felt so tired in the writing part. I noticed some grammatical mistakes, after the time of each small parts ended up, but not so long to take writing. Exam time has passed, and I thought I was almost reaching the end, then I could found question was needed for 30 minutes, and I had to describe my opinion. OMG.. But 30 minutes has soon passed, and I could manage to write a certain amount of article. At that time, I exactly felt that I could finish the last question without feeling tired because I started a habit to write stories here recently.
Ironically, I could feel the power of writing habit at the time when I stop writing. This test might be a good chance to write again here, I dare hope!
