Neutrino “Bug Bounty — Part 1: Hypotheses” coming soon
Neutrino is an algorithmic price-stable cryptocurrency protocol collateralized by WAVES token. It aims to solve the problem of volatility by combining an oracle-based algorithmic approach with a cryptocurrency-backed collateralization, in contrast to fiat-based stable coins (USDT, TUSD) represented by centralized entities.
On September 18, we are launching Neutrino Bug Bounty Part 1. Neutrino Protocol is represented by a large system with complex interactions between smart contracts and the front end. The first stage of the bug bounty is to solicit proposals describing hypothetical ways that can supposedly be used by malicious parties to attack and subvert different scopes of that system. The second part, which will be coming at a later time, will ask the participants to implement the attacks they will have proposed and submit security reports with the results of their experiments. The reward of the bug bounty will range from 1000 USD to 5000 USD, depending on the quality and depth of your proposal and experiments. We have decided to kick off the pre-registration now — join in to get a head start and begin preparing for the official part!
Pre-registration in the Bug Bounty in four simple steps
- Before diving into the pre-registration, we highly advise you to join the Neutrino Telegram group where all the announcements and discussions will be taking place. Feel free to ask any questions there, our team will be glad to help.
2. To sign up to the Bug Bounty, you should first get an invite to the Waves DAO, the decentralized autonomous organization of the Waves platform — it is a necessary step to participate in the official bug bounty submission process, starting from September 18. This is the platform where you will fill in and submit your bug bounty proposals. In order to get the invite, you will have to join the DAO Telegram group. After that, please follow the steps described on the landing page to become a member of the DAO.
3. Finally, after succesfully completing the previous steps, please fill this short pre-registration Google form. Make sure to include the link to your newly registered DAO profile and your Telegram account handle. That way, we will know how to get in touch with you when the bounty starts officially.
4. After finishing the pre-registration, we highly suggest that you read the Neutrino whitepaper. It contains an overview of the protocol and may inspire you to research a certain type of attack. A lot more information, including the codebase of the project, will be made accessible on September 18.
