Our 2016 resolution— fixing your healthcare
A car has over 400 sensors that indicate tire pressure, engine temperature, fuel levels, gas emissions and more. Whatever is happening at any given time with your car you can find out by consulting the user manual. But we have no user manual for the human body.
It’s time we changed that.
A little over 6 months ago we became actively obsessed with fixing global healthcare. Little did we know that our obsession will expose us to a wonderful world of problems and frustrations that lead to so many incredible opportunities — and we have you to thank for helping us shape an initial solution to many of these problems; we’ll tackle them all, one by one.
We kept our plans and progress mostly to ourselves, but the time has come to be more transparent and share with you our vision for the future of healthcare, as well as how we plan to fix.
This vision is called Neveli and it stands for “Never Ending Life” — our not-so distant goal.
And we’re achieving this goal in increments, by first tackling problems at the very foundation of technology and its use in healthcare.
First of all, we’re making your “smart” devices — health and activity trackers, scales, glucose meters, blood pressure monitors and other devices that collect information related to your overall health — much more useful by making sense of the data they collect; we know that numbers by themselves have little meaning for you, so we’re interpreting this data.
Second, we’re helping you make informed decisions based on the interpretation of this data. Is weight, sleep, activity, blood pressure, or a combination of these and other factors impacting your health? We can help you figure that out and act on it.
Next, we’ll want to stop illness before it affects you and your loved ones. This means sequencing your full genome and figuring out what makes you sick and create personalized treatments and drugs. Just for you.
Finally, we’ll use all this information to create a full user manual for you that will be used to fix whatever is wrong with you — physically, mentally, emotionally. And to a certain extent, automate this fixing process with molecular surgery.
At this time we’re laser focused on delivering the first iteration of Neveli to an early access list which we’re closing on December 23.
You can still be part of the early access wave if you sign up by the 23rd of December — and we’d appreciate if you’d tell your health conscious peers to do that as well.
Thank you for being a part of our journey from the start and we look forward to showing you our vision and building the future of healthcare together with you.
