Curious why readers ignore or enjoy your articles? I can’t vouch for anyone else, but here’s why they repel or magnetize me.

Why I don’t read your work

Some articles are a turnoff.

1: You don’t give a hoot

It’s disheartening when writers don’t edit.

I’m likely to leave the page if your articles contain many grammatical errors, your sentences make little sense, or you’ve been super-slapdash.

Nobody is perfect and a few mistakes don’t spoil my reading pleasure. Multiple ones do, though.

2: Your work is written by AI

I admit, it’s hard to know whether all articles are AI produced, but sometimes it’s obvious.

Many contain weary metaphors and filler words. They don’t flow. They’re weird, and their tone is over-the-top.

Maybe they’re corny, use language most people wouldn’t use, or are boring because they lack a human touch.
