I haven’t done one of these posts in a while. Writing about growth, followers, reads, and any other stats isn’t the best of ideas when it looks like everything is burning down or falling apart.

Okay, maybe it’s not that dramatic, but it feels that way for most writers.

Up and Down Ride (Mostly Down)

One day, I’m feeling hopeful, but the next day, I’m ready to jump off a cliff. Not really, but you get the point.

It does feel like riding a rollercoaster, except I don’t remember the last up or high around here in almost a month. The good news is that things usually go back up around here if you can put up with the uncertainty and all of the bullshit.

On the other hand, I totally understand if you want to move on or spend most of your time elsewhere.

Every writer’s situation is different, and you need to do what is best for you. I’m also experimenting with Substack, but I have no clue if it will turn into anything, and it’s going to take a long time to see any meaningful results.

Still Publishing and Supporting Writers

Anyway, the point of this article is that I will still stay active with publishing articles in Never Stop Writing, and I appreciate each writer who is still spending time here.

One thing I plan to do differently is to start reading and supporting each writer in the publication. I did this for a long time when the publication was new, but it eventually became too difficult to keep up with all of the articles.

Things aren’t quite as busy anymore, and I’m only usually writing one short post a day, so I have more time to read and support others.

Engagement is Down, But Every Bit of Support Helps

I know engagement is down for everyone, so every little bit of support helps. You probably won’t even get a penny from me, but maybe it will help your article reach more people in the algorithm.

The least I can do is support others because staying motivated to write during these times is no easy…
