You can’t escape Father Time

Since I was about 14 years old, I have been exercising to put on more muscle. I strengthened my muscles before I realized I’ll never be a big person like Arnold Schwarzenegger.
After exercising for nearly 40 years, I realized I had reached my peak.
The days of lifting hundreds of pounds are over.
For me, it’s hard making that adjustment.
But if I don’t, I’ll wake up every day complaining about my back, arms, or legs.
You see, after punishing your body with exercise, one day your body will pay you back and with a vengeance.
When you see athletes retire in their 30s or 40s, they put their bodies through a lot.
Your body changes whether you want it to or not. You begin losing muscle mass once you reach 30. Then every year, you lose more and more muscle.
This is called atrophy.
You become weaker, your muscles start to shrink, and you may get a tingling feeling.
I won’t lie. For me, adjusting has been hard.
