Finding my writing feet….

One thing I am trying to do this year is find my writing feet. Finding a niche to write in can only be achieved if you write consistently. I'm sure you have heard that often, and it sounds cliche. Writing is not exactly easy. You have to think through your ideas and the message you want to convey.

I started writing when I was a teenager. In those days, we wrote to our friends, family and Pen pals ( I had many pen friends all across the globe). We would go to the post office to post letters and postcards and begin to wait for a reply. Those days were great fun, and we didn't mind waiting for a reply for thirty to forty-five days. Waiting was also part of the fun. The anticipation of receiving a letter made it even more exciting. There was also the idea of going to the post office. Planning a trip to the post office was interesting as I had to ensure I had enough money and had sought permission. We lived one bus away from the nearest post office, therefore I enjoyed the monthly trips. Whilst there, I would buy tokens to phone my friend from the pay phone as there were no cell phones then. We lived in a decent time.
