How Many of Us Writers in the Community FIRST Started Out Like This?

I joined and gave up too soon when I first started writing on Medium!

Lately, I’ve been doing a whole lot of talk and writing a bunch of stories, all on the topic of community engagement.

It’s no secret, that I’m a big fan of creating — if not finding— new and better ways to connect with fellow writers.

Why wouldn’t I?

Effective community engagement is a crucial key to your future success on Medium.

In my efforts to engage with members on a deeper level, I try to utilize and take advantage of every Medium feature and option I possibly can.

For instance:

• We can focus our attention on conversing in the comments section and replying to Notifications, AND/OR
• We can devote extra time and attention, to reading and discovering the backstories of the members we decide to follow

I try to do these things and more, and so should you.
