I Keep Writing Posts Like This and Somehow They Do Well
Lower your expectations and you might enjoy it
I’m back with another random post about nothing because why not?
I don’t have to think too much with these posts and the last one performed better than most of my recent articles. Of course, writing about nothing is not a foolproof way to riches unless you can write six of these articles a day for the next 30 years.
One of my biggest challenges with writing these days is that I save my best articles for Substack.
Unfortunately, that leaves little motivation for writing about other topics on places that I won’t even dare mention the name. I would hate to be struck with a bolt of lightning if I say the “M” word. I probably wouldn’t even get it halfway typed out before my writing career is toast. Literally!
So, I really don’t feel like writing today because I don’t enjoy counting pennies.
The only thing worse than that is counting air or paying taxes. Oh great, now I just remembered I’ll have to pay self-employment taxes next week. If you are not self-employed, you are really missing out.
I’m tempted to break my daily writing streak and focus more of my free time on Substack. Is it worth it? Probably.
