I Played Basketball and Didn’t Pass Out
I’m Basically an Athlete
May is already half over, and that means I still need to write each day. Once again, I’m a couple of hours from midnight, so it’s time for another diary post because that requires the least number of brain cells.
No, I haven’t been totally lazy.
I spent most of my time publishing articles and responding to others earlier today. More on Substack than this place, but apparently, writing about this place on Substack is popular.
Anyway, enough of that.
The point of this article is that I played basketball a few hours ago, and I didn’t even pass out or have a near-death experience. Even though it’s 90-something degrees and way too humid.
So, it’s nice to see that I’m actually making progress on my fitness goals, even though I still need to lose some weight.
If you haven’t started, I highly recommend you start exercising. You don’t have to work out, but even going for a walk can help you feel better physically and mentally. I know getting started is always hard, but it’s well worth it, and you won’t have any regrets.
Spending a little time outside is especially good for your mental health. You might not even have to deal with writer’s block again if you spend at least 30 minutes a day moving or doing something you enjoy.
Sorry, I’m getting a little too preachy, and I’m about to tune myself out.
Anyway, that’s enough productivity for one day.
I played basketball and wrote a diary entry. I’m basically an Olympic athlete with a keyboard.
