Image By Author. It’s me on my convocation

Don’t be surprised to see the same picture of mine as in the previous post, as it’s a picture of me from my convocation ceremony. The reason I posted it in the previous post is that it was the most recent one.

October 30, 2024, is now marked as one of the most important days in my life. It’s a day that metaphorically represents a full stop in the most beautiful chapter of my life called education. It was a day of mixed feelings for me, where I was filled with ecstatic joy after the successful completion of my engineering degree and emotions as well, as I saw my parents witnessing my success after all their sacrifices.

Honestly, I hadn’t the faintest idea what that day would mean, not only for my parents and family but for me as well. Even though I saw my seniors and my cousins wearing that same gown and that square hat with its ponytail, I never understood that from pictures. The reason I’m confessing this is because I didn’t plan to attend my convocation due to my busy schedule nowadays.

It took my parents and siblings two hours of convincing to help me recognize the importance of the day, and hence, I registered to attend it.
Now, as I write about it, I have realized what a big miss it would have been if I had skipped it, thinking I was too occupied to attend.
