I Thought Shoveling Dirt Was Easy… Until I Woke Up Today

I haven’t had to worry about working out the past couple of days.

Why? Because I’ve been digging up dirt and more dirt… and even more dirt. No, I didn’t make a career change as a grave digger, though I hear that’s a dying business. At this rate, I might as well be six feet under.

I’ve been shoveling dirt because my sister needed to remove a pile of dirt near a fence and replace it with rocks and I had the bright idea to move this pile of dirt to level up parts of my yard and fill in low spots.

Luckily, I had help or I would probably still be shoveling instead of writing this article.

This process required putting two loads on the back of a truck and then shoveling dirt into my yard. It took maybe a little more than an hour, but I didn’t start feeling the pain until I woke up this morning.

I had no idea I had so many muscles in my back and they are all sore.

If I were a football player, I would be “Questionable” to play, and I would probably be on the Injured List for a month if I were a baseball player. Unfortunately, I’m neither, so you just get to listen to me complain.
