I Thought Things Couldn’t Get Worse….It Did
Being a baseball fan isn’t easy
I’m a fan of the Texas Rangers and I’ve watched a ridiculous amount of baseball over the years.
Seriously, each season is 162 games, plus you have the playoffs. So, I’ve probably watched more than 2,000 games over the years. (Now I’m starting to feel like I should be collecting Social Security.)
Anyway, I saw something today I’ve never seen in an MLB game before. I thought I was watching a Little League game instead of professionals playing in the major leagues.
What happened exactly? Well, I’m glad you asked.
By the way, shout out to the three people who will actually read a baseball article. I appreciate your support, and you are a true fan.
Alright, let me give you some context. It’s in the bottom of the 9th and the game is tied 2–2. The Texas Rangers are playing the San Francisco Giants.
Still with me? Good.
The pitcher throws the ball, and the batter makes weak contact. It’s at an awkward angle and the pitcher scrambles, grabs it, and hurls it toward first base to get the out.
Unfortunately, the ball somehow missed first base by a mile.
