Is Mufasa: The Lion King Any Good? I Watched It So You Don’t Have To (Unless You Want To)

A Nostalgic Return or Just Another Cash Grab?

I don’t know about you, but I grew up watching The Lion King. It’s actually my favorite Disney movie. I rank it right above Robin Hood and The Jungle Book.

I remember seeing it at the movies back in the day.

I also collected many of the toys and action figures. (I was six years old at the time.) Yes, I realize I’m kinda old compared to some of you, but I’m not totally ancient yet.

Anyway, the other night I decided to watch Mufasa: The Lion King.

I didn’t have any expectations going into the movie, and I figured I might as well use Disney Plus, rather than let my subscription go to waste. No worries, I won’t give away any spoilers!

I will say that the movie explores the backstory between Scar and Mufasa. You will also see plenty of familiar faces. Random fact: Rafiki is my favorite character. He is slightly ahead of Timon and Pumbaa.
