So last week, my stories reached a total number of 765 people on Medium, and what they did next will surprise you.

But hey!
I must confess that sometimes I feel I check my Medium stats way too often than others do.

Still, it’s all about so that I can understand and know what my audience wants, right?"

To me, it was just another week on Medium as usual, until my eyes saw the numbers!

The Numbers(Oct 18-25):

Total number of views 765

Total number of Reads= 448

My Engagement...

Total number of clappers= 357

Total number of Highlighters= 198

Total number of Responders= 238

Total number of followers for the week 301

Below is a screenshot image of my stats and most viewed stories for the last week you can see for yourself.

As you can see the numbers are growing.

I’m not there yet, but I’m in the process, and I’ve no doubt that the numbers will keep increasing.

What has changed in the Figures so Far?

Let’s take a look at my most viewed stories and stats for the previous week before Oct 18 to 25, that’s stats for my stories from Oct 11 to Oct 18 so that we can see if there are any changes:

Stats for Oct 11 to 18:
The total number of viewers was 522

The total number of reads was 335

The total number of clappers was 240

The total number of people who highlighted was 121

The total number of people who responded was 155

The total number of followers for that week was 287

My Comment on All these?

I wouldn’t want to waste your precious time doing the maths, adding and subtracting but I believe you can see for yourself that there’s a slight difference in the figures, comparing the stats from Oct 11—Oct 18 to that of Oct 18-25 and I intend to keep the numbers going up.

What Worked for Me Hmm!

My top-performing stories from these two weeks (that’s Oct 11–18 and Oct 18–25) are different if you observe well.

From Oct 11 to Oct 18, the article about myself was the most viewed story with 120 views; from Oct 18 to Oct 25, an article about Medium took the lead with 48 views.

Medium is a new platform for me, so I'm still exploring it.

I can’t tell you for sure at this moment what worked for me in terms of topics yet; I’m just going to keep creating and engaging to see what works best as time goes by.

Lessons I've Learned:

One of the things I've learned over these few weeks is the need for a quality headline for my story that will grab the reader's attention since that's what they first see.

These few weeks also taught me the importance of writing introductions that are engaging and, of course, how to use relevant tags.

My Next Week Goals?

I would love to increase my views by 500 and boost my earnings.

I will keep engaging with both writers and readers to learn and grow.
