Photo Walk: 5 “Radioactive” Places in Berlin Worthy Of Visiting
Let’s Combine Some Fun, Science, and History
In the history of science and technology, there are fascinating pages that can unveil a profound story. Some physical effects, as static electricity, were known since ancient Greece. People were able to see it, for example, with an amber or electric catfish. However, the radioactivity can not be observed at all, because our human bodies have no sense for it. Partially because of that, the history of discovering radioactivity is almost truly detective, with some mysteries and even deaths.
This story is the second part of the series: the first photo walk I did in Amsterdam:
In this part, I will show 5 places and everyday objects that I was able to find in Berlin. These objects connect history, technology, and science, and I hope readers will learn something new. All things described here are not pure theory — everyone can repeat my tests and make their own discoveries, which makes it even more exciting.
