We often hear that we should wake up early in the morning to have a better day.

But the truth is, there is something even more important than waking up early in the morning.

This is coming from personal experience and something I have tried more than once and the results have been astonishing.

What authority I have to suggest something like this?

Well I am an athlete and also a student of physical education and sports sciences.

So my life pretty much revolves around everything that has to deal with body and it's betterment.

Now to the topic.

Sleep and recovery are a massive part of any sports and fitness related work and also in general for everyone.

So it is recommended to sleep atleast 8 hours in every 24 hours for a healthy lifestyle.

But then there are people who say it is very very important to rise early in the morning.

So in order to manage this we try to wake up early even if we sleep at 2 AM in the morning.

Which is quite common in modern times.

But when we do that we completely kill the possiblity of having a productive day at all.

You might notice when you sleep late at night, then even if you sleep for 10 hours and wake up at 10 or even 11 AM, you wake up unenergetic and feel low throughout the day.

It is because your sleep cycle is directly responsible for your body’s recovery and preparation for the day’s work.

In ayurveda it is mentioned that the cycles of our body move with the cycle of nature.

That is why it suggests early dinner before sunset, because as the sun sets our organs become inactive and then they don't work as efficiently as they work during the day.

So if you keep working your body beyond the time of it's working limit, you are overexhauting your body and overexploiting it's resources.

This results in partial breakdown everyday and eventually after sometime you face complete burnout.

That is why sometimes you are not able to sleep no matter how much you try.

How to overcome this pattern

To break this cycle the best thing to do, something that has helped me to crack the code of having the best sleep is to sleep at the right time.

By the right time i strictly mean at the earliest possible and latest to latest by 10 PM sharp.

I’ve noticed that at a point your body signals you to sleep but what we do is we keep scrolling or do something else till late night.

Thing is once you break the time your body was demanding rest, it gets in the active state again because you have signalled it to keep working and this is how you destroy the pattern.

I strictly recommend you sleep by 10 PM if you are looking to have a day filled with energy, productivity, and a better working mind.

It will help you rise early and better than ever.

So stop scrolling some time before you sleep and get to bed by 10 anyhow.

Like any habit it may take 2 to 3 days to adapt, you may not sleep so easily in the beginning but once you get the hold of it, you will surely thank me for this one.
