Should Planting a School Flag on a Football Field Be a Felony?

This is why politicians are a joke

I’m not a fan of most politicians.

It doesn’t matter if you are a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or anything else. Show me a politician, and I’ll show you corruption or an idiot. Sometimes, it’s both.

Anyway, I was reading the news on ESPN, and I saw that an Ohio lawmaker wants to make it a felony if a college football player plants their team flag in the middle of a football field before, during, or after a game.

The O.H.I.O. Sportsmanship Act would mean that it would be a fifth-degree felony if any player does this act, and they can serve up to six to 12 months in prison, receive a $2,500 fine, and serve up to five years of probation.

Really? What the hell is this guy smoking?

Of all the problems we are facing in this country, are we going to waste time trying to pass such a stupid bill? I can think of 1,001 things much more important to focus on than what happens at a college football game.

Yes, it’s unsportsmanlike to plant a flag after a big win in the opposing team's stadium, and it can cause fights, which is what happened after the Michigan and Ohio State game a couple of weeks ago.
