Stop Feeding AI My Stories So It Can Write Your Comments

I prefer your own words, anyway

Oh, bother!

I just realized what’s happening to me, and if it’s happening to me, it’s probably happening to you as well.

Then again, maybe you’re doing this:

Feeding writer’s stories and articles into AI (artificial intelligence) bots to get them to create summaries you can pop into comment sections. After all, doing so saves you time, and you needn’t even do any reading.

A win-win scenario!

Hang on though, who wins?

Well, mostly AI companies who get the stories you put into them for free.

That’s right, if you let AI bots summarize articles, a nifty way of getting out of penning your comments, you’re giving them away for free, even though they aren’t yours to give away.

See what I mean?

Most of you aren’t doing such a thing and, like me, are now horrified to learn that your work is training AI without your permission.

Once AI has it, it will use it as it pleases, I imagine, as you won’t know when or where it’s used to stop it.
