I drink tea nearly every day, but on Mondays, I only drink green tea.

I don’t know if this has any specific benefit, but after a weekend of eating any and everything, I feel I need to clean my body from the junk I eat.

For instance, this past weekend, I had an ice cream brownie from Texas Roadhouse after eating steak and a sweet potato. On other days, I try to eat clean as much as possible.

So when Monday comes around, I pull out my green tea to help get my body back to normal. I also drink green tea a few more times during the week.

Green tea may be healthier than black tea, and it is the second most consumed tea.

Here are some health benefits of drinking green tea.

1. Fights cancer-causing inflammation

2. Prevents heart disease and stroke

3. Protects the brain from aging

4. Strengthen your bones

5. Lowers blood sugar

6. Protects the prostate

7. Lowers stress and anxiety

8. Gives you a boost but not as strong as coffee would

9. Helps you look younger

10. Helps with weight loss

11. Aids with oral health and prevent tooth decay

Green tea offers a lot of health benefits.

Sometimes, I’ll add a little bit of honey since green tea can taste bland.

Is green tea part of your daily routine?
