I have written about this social media platform before since it is an overlooked platform that writers miss. The platform is LinkedIn.

You may think LinkedIn is popular for people looking for their next job. But it is also a goldmine for companies looking to hire short-term or contract employees with writers being one of them.

I have been on LinkedIn for over a decade and have built a pretty good profile. If you have not used your platform in a while, it may take some time to get potential offers. But don’t let that discourage you. The more active you are on the site, the better off you’ll be.

Just yesterday, I received an offer from a headhunter to work for a company paying up to six figures.

The odds of getting hired all depend on what the company is looking for. Some deals work out, while others don’t.

Writing can be lucrative, but for many, it takes years to earn a livable wage. That’s why I think getting offers from other companies is a must.

Then if you don’t work for a company, your writing pay fluctuates as you’re writing for your audience.
