What Do We Truly Want in Life?
Life Lesson.
Seeing a fisherman leaning against his boat, smoking a pipe, the wealthy businessman was surprised.
“Why aren’t you fishing?”
the businessman asked.
“Because I’ve already caught enough fish for the day,” the fisherman replied.
“Why don’t you catch some more?”
“What would I do with them?”
“You could earn more money. Then, you could add a motor to your boat, venture into deeper waters, and catch even more fish. With the extra earnings, you could buy nylon nets and catch even more fish, making even more money. Soon, you could afford a second boat, maybe even a fleet of boats someday. Then, you’d become rich like me!”
“And then what would I do?”
“Then you could sit back, relax, and enjoy life.”
The fisherman, who had been listening intently, asked,
“What do you think I’m doing right now?”
