Chicago Mayor Refuses to Take the Bait from ‘Morning Joe’
Joe Scarborough practically implodes on camera
As is being widely reported, my adopted hometown, Chicago, is next on Trump’s hit list of cities to be federalized, invaded, and occupied via National Guard troops. The Chicago move follows Trump’s invasion and occupation of Los Angeles and, more recently, the federalization/invasion/occupation of this nation-state’s capital city, Washington, D.C. — again, in both cases, via deployment of National Guard soldiers.
L.A. Mayor Karen Bass has consistently condemned and excoriated Trump for sending troops into her city. On the other hand, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser — for reasons beyond her “control” — has just delivered acquiescent and downright obsequious praise for Trump’s efforts in her town.
Going to Chicago…Sorry, but I can’t take you.
MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough suffered what may only be described as a full-blown on-air meltdown this week as he relentlessly tried to browbeat Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson over Trump’s threats and whether the mayor would support putting thousands more cops on the streets of this “city of big shoulders.”
