Don’t bother celebrities. I’m not saying don’t talk to them but don’t bother them. If they’re with someone, especially their family don’t approach them. Time is valuable to a celebrity. Show your appreciation by leaving them alone.

Last weekend was Wrestlemania weekend in Philadelphia. I wasn’t there but lots of my friends were. One of them posted a now deleted video on Twitter that inspired this story.

A fan in their late teens was standing behind a former WWE superstar seated at a low table in a hotel bar drinking with friends. The kid stood there awkwardly waiting for wrestler to stop talking for the entire 2 minute video.

As close as the fan was the wrestler had to be aware he was standing behind him. The wrestler’s never-ending conversation was intentional. He didn’t want to talk. The wrestler wasn’t turning around and kid was not getting the hint. There’s a 2-minute length limit on Twitter but he might be still be standing behind him.

For people who watch people pretend to beat up people, wrestling Twitter is awfully sensitive. Commenters complained about exploiting the embarrassment for clicks and that it painted the wrestler in a bad light…
