Are we suffering from spiritual blindness, which prevents us from seeing and knowing God?

Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means ‘son of Timaeus’), was sitting by the roadside begging.

(Mark 10:46, NIV)

Prayer:

Lord, help me with my spiritual blindness, giving me the grace of deep faith to know and see more clearly how you are helping me with every challenge I face. Let my faith testimony glorify you and help heal the spiritual eyes of others so they can see your love and know you more profoundly. Amen.

Blind Man Meets Christ:

The blind Bartimaeus knew Jesus better than those who could see our Savior and the miracles he performed.

In Mark 10, Bartimaeus, the blind beggar, wasted no time complaining about his situation. He did not blame God for his blindness and the suffering he endured. And he knew with complete faith that Jesus could restore his sight.
