Learn the Unforced Rhythms of Grace
Hand over all your concerns to the Lord, for His way is easy and His burden is light
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me — watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
This morning, I listened to a message by Kenneth Copeland.
He spoke about how people love to complain about how hard life is, as though that is how it was meant to be.
The problem with the world is that most people think we have to be killing ourselves just to eat and have clothing.
They believe they are nothing but a workhorse.
That thinking is all wrong — it is not the truth. It’s not how Jesus tells us to live.
We are to enjoy what we do, and from that place, we will receive enough for our needs and more.
You may even become rich doing what you love!
But if you do it God’s way, you won’t be burnt out. Instead, you will have a deep sense of pride in your achievements.
You won’t be proud in an arrogant way, but satisfied. After all, our skills come from God anyway, so instead of thinking how wonderful we are, we should be thanking Him for how wonderful He is, and for what He is doing through us.
So, stop striving today and hand over all your anxieties to the Father, for He knows you, and He cares for you.
Life is not meant to be HARD.
Learn the unforced rhythms of grace from Jesus, who is gentle and humble in heart.
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].”
