My Thank You

A Prayer

Thank you, God

For your gentle whispers

Building my faith

A knowing that your presence

Within my soul

Protects me and loves me.

Thank you for your unconditional love

Even when I am undeserving

Thank you for your gifts

Which you bestow upon me on a daily basis

Thank you for always hearing my prayer.

I have a friend who begins each prayer with the words “thank you.” She has taught me the meaning of gratitude. When we begin our prayers by being grateful for our God and all of his gifts we have learned the true meaning of love.
