Needing Absolute Silence Today
The river of life
We live in a noisy, demanding world.
There’s no escaping it.
It’s here every day
demanding more and more.
I need to step back
and reflect.
“Go, go, go!”
“This will help you grow,” they say.
No, thank you,
not today.
If I go with the flow of that life, I’ll lose my soul.
There are two lives we can live,
the one imposed upon us and the one where love flows.
I need absolute silence today
so I can get in the flow of life,
real-life, I mean,
where love is at the source.
I need my guiding light today
to direct me where to go.
I don’t want to get dragged off in the strong current.
I swim to the riverbank
take a rest
breath
and find my peace again.
