Proclaim The Truth

“Speak the Truth that hurts and then heals,
Than falsehood that comforts and then kills.”

In a world filled with noise, distractions, and shifting values, the role of a faithful proclaimer has never been more crucial. The task of delivering unwavering messages of truth, love, and hope in a chaotic world requires steadfastness and courage. Sugar-coated preaching in this day and hour is rampant!

As we navigate the challenges of our modern era, Apostle Paul through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit exhorts young Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

In v3–4, Paul says,For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.Paul’s admonition to Timothy is timeless and profound, urging us to consider the importance and urgency of delivering God’s Word.

1. Preach the Word — The foundation of faithful proclamation is God’s Word, not our word! The Scripture inspired by God, is our final authority in all matters of faith and practices. It provides us with the truth that we are called to preach. 2 Timothy 3:16–17 declares: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Word to preach is God-breathed in a miraculous way, He communicated His word to His “holy men” led by the Holy Spirit to write it down. 2 Peter 1:20–21 says,Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2. Be Instant in Season, Out of Season — The message is in season at all times, availing ourselves diligently to this ministry even when others think it to be out of season. Despite we face insurmountable barriers, by God’s mercy we faint not. 2 Corinthians 4:1 says,Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

The promise is that our labor in the Lord is never in vain. Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

3. Reprove, Rebuke, Exhort with All Longsuffering and Doctrine — A faithful proclaimer confronts error, sin, and conveys comfort and encouragement with patience and biblical principles. That is why we need to study God’s Word and tell the whole world about Him. 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” — We remain anchored in the unchangeable Word in a world that frequently values tolerance over truth.

Brethren, we must know what we believe as we take our duty to spread God’s Word. Let us remember that the ultimate fulfillment of faithful proclamation is found in Jesus Christ. He is the living Word (John 1:14). In a world hungry for direction and purpose, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6).

As we preach the Word, let our hearts and messages continually point to Him, for in Christ alone, we find the hope and salvation the world so desperately needs.

Always Begin With God
