The Law of Substitution: The Blood of Jesus Christ
He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness, by his wounds you have been healed.
1 Peter 2:24
A Testimony
I had a Gastric ulcer for about six years which was frustrating as it interfered with my fasting and praying schedule. As a result of this ulcer, I always had to break around 12 p.m. or 3 p.m. maximum. Although it hadn’t always been like this. During my early years in school, I could fast till 6 p.m. and have no issues.
However, it became terrible one morning when I suddenly started vomiting bile and was rushed to the hospital where the nurse said it was a Gastric ulcer.
Very recently, I was led by the spirit to undergo ten days of fasting and prayer of which I resolved by faith to break my fast around 6 p.m. I had just listened to a sermon during the RCCG Holy Communion where my Father in the Lord, Pastor E.A. Adeboye had emphasized the power of the blood of Jesus Christ.
Before the fast started, I prayed against any Gastric ulcer and other attack against my body, soul, and spirit with the following verses:
Deuteronomy 7:15
The Lord will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict you with the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you.

LORD My God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.

But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like Calves from the Stall.
After praying, I was led in the spirit to get cabbage from the market and make cabbage juice which I had done in the past.
I fasted till 6 pm on the first day of the fast and felt no pain throughout without even taking the cabbage juice. I was able to complete the 10-day fast and also fasted at other times without experiencing any form of ulcer pain.
It is one thing to treat an ulcer and another thing to eat late but still feel no pain, especially during treatment. I knew it was the healing power of the blood of Jesus Christ manifesting.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.
Leviticus 17: 11
In the world, whenever there is a need to cure diseases or avert evil, a sacrifice is always made which must involve bloodshed. This is an indication that a substitution was made; one life for another.
..how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
Hebrews 9: 14
The blood of Jesus Christ is more effective than any worldly sacrifice because even the world got this idea from the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary where he gave his life so that we will be saved. However, salvation is not the only significance of the blood of Jesus.
The healing power of the blood of Jesus Christ is immeasurable because his life was given, and his blood was shed until the last drop to create a record that he who was righteous willingly became the sacrificial lamb, as a result, those that share in this covenant can forever be substituted for him during any circumstance.
The blood of Jesus heals any disease, sickness, affliction, and attack from the enemies, no matter how great it seems. The blood of Jesus brings victory against the kingdom of darkness. The blood of Jesus is a very effective weapon against the devil and his agents.
I decree and declare that in the name of Jesus Christ, every sickness, disease, attack, or affliction upon your life and destiny is nullified by the power in the ever-flowing blood of Jesus Christ.

To access the blood of Jesus, you need to first accept Jesus Christ as your savior. To surrender your life to Jesus, kindly say this after me:
Lord Jesus, I believe that you died on the Cross of Calvary for my sins and that you love me dearly. Today I confess that you are my Lord and personal Savior. I surrender my life, body, soul, and spirit to you as I invite you to come and dwell in my heart. I confess and forsake every sin hindering me from experiencing your saving grace (mention the sin). Please accept me today, and make me free from the grip of death, hell, and sin. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
