Who am I to Write THAT?
You have an idea that has been forming in your mind about something you’d like to express in writing. It’s YOUR ‘take’ on something, your opinion, your views, your words. Yet you find yourself saying ‘Who am I to write THAT?”
You tell yourself: OK, I’ll write it. No, forget it. People will really be helped. People will laugh at my ideas. Back and forth!
On and on you go, arguing with yourself. You KNOW your viewpoint is unique, a fresh look that no one else has expressed that you can find.
Then, just like Moses asked God when God was ready to give him an assignment, Moses said,
“Who am I?”
Moses felt inadequate for anything God might ask him to do.
“Moses exclaimed: But I’m not the person for a job like that!
Who am I?”
What is God’s response when WE ask Him ‘Who am I?”
Then God told him, “I will certainly be with you.” Exodus 3:11–12
Was Moses listening? Are WE listening when God tells us who we are? Will we do what God asks us to do, knowing that He will empower us to write, to help, to act?
