Your words have the power to bless or curse. There is power in the spoken word, so watch how you speak to yourself and others.

We all know how it hurts when people criticize or attack us with their words. It feels awful, so we don’t want to do that to others.

Instead, we can learn to think before we speak.

This works the same for self-talk. If you speak to yourself negatively, you are not going to feel good. For instance, if you tell yourself you are going to fail, then that’s precisely what’s going to happen.

Henry Ford once said,

“Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re right.”

Words create

God spoke the world into being. It is recorded in Genesis, the first book of the Bible.

“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”

Genesis 1:3

We also have the power to speak things into being. This is why affirmations are so powerful. If we say things out loud, they become a reality. There is power in our words.

The more we speak positive life-giving words the better.

Observe both your self-talk and the words you speak out loud and notice how they are affecting you.

You will soon see that positive words carry positive energy and negative words carry negative energy.

The more we practice speaking what we want and not what we don’t want, the sooner we will start to manifest the life we desire.

These are spiritual principles. All you need to do is become more aware of the words you speak and change them to life-giving words that create good things.

God created the world and saw that it was good.
